HA-HA STENCIL & AR ART WORKSHOP

3 DAYS OF CREATIVITY, INNOVATION & STREET ART

PARTICIPANTS - 8 - 12 YOUNG ARTISTS

OUTCOME : LEARN STENCIL ART TECHNIQUES, APPLY THEM IN MURALS, AND

INTEGRATE DIGITAL ELEMENTS INTO AR INSTALLATIONS.

Day 1: Introduction to Stencils & Concept Development

• 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM → Welcome & Icebreakers

• Introduction to HAHA & the art of stencil-making

• Overview of street art culture & its role in public spaces

• 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM → Stencil Art Foundations

• Understanding positive & negative space

• Sketching ideas for stencils

• Learning to cut stencils (single-layer technique)

• 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM → Lunch Break

• 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM → Hands-On Stencil Cutting

• Refining designs & mastering X-Acto knife techniques

• Practicing on different surfaces (paper, cardboard, and walls)

• 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM → Wrap-Up & Reflection

Day 2: Digital Art & AR Basics

• 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM → Intro to Digital Art & AR

• Discussion: How digital tools enhance street art

• Introduction to software (Procreate, Photoshop, or Illustrator)

• 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM → Digitizing Stencils

• Scanning & vectorizing hand-cut stencils

• Experimenting with colour, textures, and layering

• 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM → Lunch Break

• 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM → Augmenting Stencils into AR

• Intro to Unity & AR tools

• Uploading stencil designs into AR

• Viewing test AR objects in an app

• 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM → Reflection & Discussion on Future Use

Day 3: The Grand Finale – Mural + AR Showcase• Mastery of stencil art techniques

• 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM → Final Touch-Ups on Stencils & AR Pieces

• 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM → Creating a Stencil Mural in the Community

• Collaborative mural with multiple stencil layers

• Bringing together themes from the past four days

• 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM → Public AR Installation & Mural Unveiling

• Finalizing AR placements

• Community viewing & interaction with digital art

This 3-day immersive workshop ensures that young artists not only learn tangible street art skills but also step into the future of digital art with AR integration. HAHA’s guidance, combined with digital storytelling and augmented reality, will create a one-of-a-kind experience that blends tradition with innovation.
